Style of Massage

Orthopedic Massage

Orthopedic massage is an approach that relies on a strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology in tailoring massage treatment sessions to aid in recovery from a variety of soft tissue troubles. Every session is different, depending on the condition and person being worked with. Most soft tissue issues develop over time, and the amount of time needed to achieve lasting improvements can vary depending on a person's condition, lifestyle, and any medical treatment they are receiving.

Myofascial Release

This style excels at unsticking gummed up muscles that feel more like rock than tissue. It is a slow, deep techniques that doesn't use any oil so as to allow the practitioner to sink into and move through the tissue directly. The goal of myofascial release is to break up the fine collagen filaments that the body lays down in order to "shore up" or restrict an area in response to poor posture, injury and daily day life.
